Motherhood is filled with countless smiling moments. However, it's important to acknowledge that there are also days when you will feel tired, overwhelmed, and tapped out. In the early days of postpartum you can feel it the most especially with all the changes.

The day-to-day struggles can sometimes take a toll on your emotional well-being. Thankfully, in these challenging moments, there is hope and support to be found, particularly from your village who can stand by your side. You don’t have to carry all your emotions and task alone.

Let’s talk about the ups and downs of motherhood, the importance of hope, and the invaluable support that our villages provide. If you don’t have a village just yet, join my community so that you can be well on your way to creating one.

Embracing the Highs and Lows

Motherhood is a rollercoaster ride, and some days can be tougher than others. You know the rollercoaster can be up with you smiling and drops so fast you are like whattt, that describes the journey. LOL

It's essential to acknowledge and embrace the feelings that come with being a mom, it’s no cakewalk. By accepting that not every day will be ideal, we can give ourselves permission to experience the range of emotions to make us better.

No need to suppress how you feel because it will build up to one day having a complete meltdown from all the weight you carried.

The Power of Hope

Hope is a driving force that can keep us going, even during the darkest moments.

Cultivating hope as a mother can provide us with the strength to overcome challenges and persevere.

Whether it's hope for a better day, hope for our children's future, or hope for personal growth, nurturing a positive outlook can make a significant difference in our overall well-being. Yes, you can hope for a smooth bedtime routine too.

The Support of a Spouse and Mom Village

Having a supportive spouse can be a game-changer in our journey as mothers. They are our partners, cheerleaders, and pillars of strength.

Discussing our struggles, sharing responsibilities, and working as a team can lighten the load and make the tough days more manageable.

I will explore the various ways our spouses can support us, from helping with childcare to offering emotional support and understanding until then check out my podcast episode don’t believe everything you hear feat my husband 🥰

We also have to realize our spouses can’t be everything to us, which is another reason why you must create a village for you from friendships, help when needed (babysitter, therapist, postpartum coach, cleaning service, laundry service, etc), mentors, if you name it you may need it.

Prioritizing Balance and Self-Care

In the midst of motherhood's ups and downs, it's crucial to prioritize self-care and find a balance that works for you. Balance is not giving everything 50-50 but prioritizing the most important components of your life. For me that’s my wellness, family, and my business. They may sound simple but that’s how I prioritize my life.

Taking time for ourselves, engaging in activities that bring us joy, and seeking support from others can help recharge our batteries and prevent burnout.

I just released a video on mom burnout and rage with tips on recovery.

Conclusion

Motherhood is a journey that encompasses a range of emotions and experiences. It's important to acknowledge that some days will be harder than others. However, by embracing the highs and lows, cultivating hope, and leaning on the support of our spouses, we can navigate these challenges with resilience and grace. Remember, you are not alone in this journey, there are resources just for you.

Reach out to other moms, join support groups, and surround yourself with a community that understands and uplifts you. Share your experiences, both the triumphs and the struggles, as it can be a healing and empowering process.

Additionally, please celebrate the small victories and milestones along the way. I know it was not easy. Take a moment to appreciate the love, growth, and joy that motherhood brings. Cherish the precious moments with your children, for they are what truly matters.

And finally, be gentle with yourself. You are doing an incredible job, even on the toughest days.

Give yourself permission to rest, recharge, and prioritize your well-being. Taking care of yourself is not selfish, but necessary for self-love and preservation. So, on those days when you feel tired, tapped out, and overwhelmed, hold onto hope and lean on the support of your village. You can navigate the challenges of motherhood, finding strength and joy in the journey.

Embrace the highs and lows, and remember that each day is an opportunity for growth, love, and creating beautiful memories with your family. You've got this!
